While the Berkshire hills are best known for their many summer recreational and cultural activities, as well as the beautiful colors of autumn, there is much to do in all four seasons. Spring is an excellent time for hiking, biking or canoeing. Winter offers downhill and cross-country skiing, as well as an excellent lunch or dinner afterwards by one of our fireplaces. And antiquing and other shopping are available all year round.

Special local events include an annual ski jump competition in early February, the Memorial Day Parade (which passes by the inn), several summertime auto races at nearby Lime Rock Park, a July 4th celebration at nearby Lakeville Lake, Salisbury's Fall Festival in October and the Christmas tree lighting on the village green in front of the White Hart in early December.
